the upper horn is 114dB... I don't find that the hard to believe number... well, easier to believe... the hard to believe number is the the bass being 114dB.. 114dB down to 30 Hz required a large, long horn... so he does this by using an amp built into the speaker for the bass... so the bass is significantly lower in sensitivity, but boosted to the upper horn level with the amp...
so, with one watt, he gets 114dB out... it's just that the one watt isn't directly driving the bass... no different than some other manufacturers... Avant Garde and myself included (on occasion)... just think of it as biamping with the bass amp built-in... then the customer only has to provide a flea powered amp...
