it's interesting how audiophile myths are being created.

A-08 is a nice amp for the price but really really far from a final word in tubes. my current E180F/6N23PEV/801A (all stages direct coupled) SET is so superior in every possible department that it almost funny. energy, drive, transparency, bass control - everything what actually comes from nicely elaborated PSU for starters. the strongest A-08 quality is an excellent timber and that would be it.
