Wen meshureing the plate voltage it has to be meshured between the plate
and cathode not the plate and ground the voltage across the cathode
resistor is subtracted from the B+ voltage.In Gerry's posted amp schmatic
above the B+ can be easily lowerd by changing the 83 rectifier to a 5Z3
or 80.
