My Sovteks have become harder and harder to tell apart from a set of RCA black plates as they continue to break in. I do comparisons about once a week and after two weeks it is getting hard to hear any difference. I play my system about 4-5 hours a day, everyday, so that is about 60 to 70 hours so far. I notcied a big change after the first week. The second week was not as dramatic but still there. I did find that you have to roll the drivers too though. Each brand of tube seems to have it's favorite driver.
