FWIW, I have a pair of 45 Loftin-Whites with big honkin' 100w P-P OPTs that are far and away the best I've heard, including all the 2A3s I've owned and heard. It may be the OPTs, it's a comparatively unusual application, it may be the circuit. Originally, it had 6SF5s for drivers, but they'e been changed to the Loktal equivalent in the last year, with profit.The Loftin-Whites are my "A" amps, though I have a stereo with One Electron OPTs as well as a pair of P-Ps.
