Hi all. I've settled on building the SE 300B integrated amp using the Aikido circuit, 12BH7A driver, 12AV7 input, and 300B output tubes. Now it is down to the finer details of the selection process. Most of this unfortunately is beyond my understanding but I thought I'd throw these out there:- Power tranny caps: Angela Audio (oil?)
- Caps after choke: Angela Audio (oil or paper/oil?)
- Bypass caps: not sure, either Angela or Blackgate
- Transformer: 5K Hammond 1628SEA (will use 4 and 8 ohm taps)
- Choke: Hammond 193M, 10 Henry
- Power tranny: not sure, probably Hammond 378CX (builder suggested we need at least 350mA)Any thoughts/suggestions/advice on the above?
Cheers,
X
