The guy who will build the amp understands this a lot more than me so I will try get a full explanation. From my understanding though, he said the design had a number of advantages/benefits, including fixing a number of "quirks" of tube circuits (e.g., helps mitigate woolly bass).
Also mentioned how he likes the fact that it takes the power supply hum and injects it out of phase somewhere in the circuit - making the circuit quiet (high power supply rejection rate).
