Yes you might be able to use a 45 and yes you'd probably have to make some other adjustments/changes to do it but I certainly wouldn't do it without understanding what circuitry is there and from your post it's not clear if you're interested in getting involved with more than a straight tube change.
From the schematic somejoe posted it looks like you might even have an output transformer primary tap for 3500 Ohms, enough to run the 45 with a moderate power output, but there's an inconsistency in the drawn input and driver stages making me think that a you'd have to take a closer look at what's actually in your own amp before you'll know what you can do.
Maybe call a dealer or email Sun?
