Single Ended Triodes (SETs), the ultimate tube lovers dream.

Things to try

1. Tube rolling: with the 3.5s, definitely try some different driver tubes if you only have the EH6SN7s now. RCA blackplate 6SN7GTBs made a difference for me. Maybe output and rectifier tubes too, e.g. the JJ 2A3 or Shuguang 2A3C are well spoken of (I have not heard them.) With the Mono 7 I can't say, George doesn't have much info up on it yet, so ask him.

2. Try different impedance taps to see how they sound (esp. 4 ohm if the Druid is 8 ohm nominal.)

3. Mechanical grounding: try some brass conefeet or similar, e.g. Mapleshade or Audiopoints. Also Herbie's tube dampers. George's black rubber feet are not specially voiced, they're just basic and functional, like his power cords.

YMMV with all these things, you just have to experiment and please your own ears. But in general all these things will affect the sound.
