Hi,Home-made 45 amp (JE Labs "Simple 45/2A3 amp for first time DIYers") cap-coupled, 1/2 6SL7 driver, silver wire, cheap Hammond universal OPTs.
My speaks are Goodmans Axiom 201s in sealed cabs. The sound is more engaging than anything I heard from a PP or SS amp. It creeps up on me when I least expect it.
If you have the least bit inclination to build an amp, check out this circuit. You won't have to spend a ton of money to get it together. I can only imagine how good this will sound when I get some decent OPTs on it.
