John Hogan emails

Hi folks, this is my first AA post. I was fortunate to purchase 4 amps from John, who passed away Sept 15, 06. The first amp he built for me was a fi primer 6sn7/26/300b with his signature 'webster' opts; then a 6sn7/26/45 using opts I harvested from a Fisher 500c receiver (again, an unlikely source of iron) and the vintage hammond chassis and pt; a way cool 6sn7/76/2A3, I believe his only 2A3 amp, webster iron from a matched set of organ amps that I actually got from ebay; and the last a pair of 6sn7/26/PX-25 monoblocs that I didn't order but was lucky enough to get. I have perhaps 200 emails from the time I first wrote him in Dec '04 until my last email in July '06, discussing so many things about these 4 amps. I have cut and pasted most of the interesting stuff onto two Word documents that I would be happy to share with interested parties. They total about 130 pages. They are full of fascinating insights into amp building, tube choice, parts used, short bio of him, emails from friends, AA quotes, links to circuits,my stumbling newbie comments and endless questions to him which he ALWAYS answered, and just a wonderful sense of him as a person- warm, fun-loving,& generous to a fault. and here is a link to the fi primer 300b circuit he used:

OK, thanks, Randy M, Atlanta
