I'll definitely not discard the tubes until I'm pretty sure they're dead. Then I can sell them on eBay as "I tested the filaments and they work so I guess they're fine" :).Seriously I won't discard them until my amp works and I'm certain they are dead. I don't have access to a tube tester.
Following the suggestion to use a 2A3 I did some research: cool! didn't know you could use a 2A3 at 45 operating points. My filament trannies can supply the requirement current so it should work.
I will wire the other channel and decide wether to just try it with the new tubes or try the 2A3. I am stupid but not that much and I'll recheck all the wiring before testing an amp with nice tubes again!
