Hi CutI think you should listen to an amp with thoriated tungsten filiment triodes. Something like an 845 is good. It will have more power and many of us who have tried them will never go back to other tubes.
I know it sounds crazy but...if you can DIY an amp that would be good, or just pick up an inexpensive chinese amp.
