Hi,Change to (1/2) 6SL7 or if you want to be tricky to 6SF5.
Up the gridleak resistor of the 45 to 470K, try 220K Anode load and 2K2 Cathode R, if that sounds not right adjust both resistors into the same direction, so 1K/100K or 3K3/330K to see how that sounds. If you use the 6SL7 you can also try the sections in parallel, most extreme with 47K Anode R and 1K/100uF on each seperate cathode.
Once you are sure wich direction you want to go with the whole thing, fix the anode resistoir and play with cathode R values a little untill you like the sound.
