I originally bought a pair of James 6123HS transformers with primary impedance taps at 2.5k, 3.5k and 5k to build a WE91A amplifier. Already having a number of 2a3 and 45 tubes has made think I should try out the 2a3 circuit in the Radiotron Designers Handbook that is similar to the WE91A circuit instead. Variations of the circuit are in the following links:http://www.hndme.com/storeschematics1.html

I have read through the chapters where the diagram is in the book a number of times which has fueled my curiosity. I can find no mention of this amplifier in any forums or web searches. Is there good reason for this? Has anyone tried something similar to this with 2A3's or 45's. It seems similar to the WE91A which many people seem pleased with.
