I owned the FI Super X 2A3 with Avantgardes, and the hum through the midrange horn was negligible. The woofers of the Avangardes that I own hum so that was exarcebated by the Fi's hum. Avantgarde has cured the woofer hum in later iterations. I found the Fi amp to be absolutely ALIVE so the hum was easily ignored.
