Which Amp? Two dilemmas..

I’m looking for a new amp. My full system is listed in Inmate Systems.

For the past year I’ve been using stock Paramour 2a3’s. They sound wonderful, and I have no complaints about their sound, BUT… I’m sure there are reasonably priced amps out there that sound better than the Paramour. And I’d like to get one.

Dilemma A is price. Most of the commercial amps that look interesting are $3500 and up. So I’m considering an assembled kit. My current 2k list is:

Welbourne Ultimate DRD 300b
Lady Day ultimate 300b
Bottlehead Paraglow 2a3 or ParaBee 300b with John Tucker upgrades
Or..
Wright WPA3.5
Wright Mono 8

Which points up Dilemma B – stick with a 2a3 or try a 300b? I’ve decided that power is not an issue, since the Paramours play loudly enough for my taste, but I’m curious about the “magical midrange” of the 300b.

Any opinions will be appreciated.
