Which part of the post are you responding to? If only the header: The Wright WPA3.5 "cheats" by using the 300B-ish Sovtek 2A3, which delivers 4 wpc in class A-1. In Wright's design, it is "over-driven" into class A-2 for 8wpc. I am pretty critical of over-driven amps, but the WPA3.5 is seamless to my ears. It is tighter, with a wider power band, and it is more neutral, tonally, to my ears, than other 2A3s I have heard, and certainly more neutral than any 300B I have heard.Paul S
