I use the Tj Mesh 45 as my reference tube. Quite a few customers are using the 45 and it does sound VG on Fostex. Many use 300b as well so I know different things work. I have heard George Wrights amps sound fine to VG with the Abby. The mesh 300b is somethig I have yet to hear at length. I still think the output tube is less important than the rest of the amp like the PS and driver stages. You could succeed buying on weight alone I always say.TC
