Thanks for the advice. I use to run Sovteks in my push-pull 2a3 amp. I liked them, for the reasonable price. I now own a similar, 45 amp. I will try a set of 2a3s in them. I kind of wonder about the 45s from Sophia. They are big like 2a3s, and, to me, they sound a bit like a cross between a 45 and a 2a3 -- They sound airy and a litte bright on top and a bit weaker in upper bass, but tighter in the bass, than a typical 45.
