Yours!!The new ones I am referring to are yours. (Well they are mine now or at least one pair. :))
Some have assumed that because I have diy amps and because I am into a particular vintage transformer that somehow I like distortion or a colored sound. I really don't. I like accuracy, I like realism, I like balance and proportion, I like the sense of everything being just right.
(I just happen to also like involvement, immediacy, presence, emotion, magic, etc. too). All that spells sets.
Seems to me you really know what you are doing. These fostex drivers, f200, are apparently some of the best drivers around, and the boxes seem to be as good as they get for mazimizing the sound.
My impressions so far is that the speakers have the immediacy and presence of the single drivers, but moreso I would say that they sound accurate yet they have a deep and rich sound too. If I was doing an enjoy the music speaker review and I read alot of their reviews, this speaker would score high.
Heere's my geography lesson, which I'm sure everyone can find something to disagree with.
China is now rules for tubes, Japan is perhaps the place for the current drivers.
The midwest and great plains are for speakers.
The east coast is for amps. Anyone born in Pa. or anyone who lives in Pa. is considered east coast too.
California, they make cd players, don't they?
If you ever saw the poster, a new yorker's view of the world, this is my view of the audio world as of today.
