Tom, I'm currently building a DIY 10/VT-25 amp, using a Japanese (I think) circuit as a starting place, with an interstage tranny, no caps in the signal circuit. I have added all-DC filaments, with regulation for the driver tubes (which are 12AU7's with paralelled triodes). As I'm on a budget, I am using Hammond iron, and UOS Sylvania VT-25's. I'll let you know how it works out.
