Care to suggest any ideas for the additional stage needed for that gain?
I would also like to know what kind of preamp/linestage would be a great compliment for a 45/300B amp. Would a circuit like that in the Berman 76 pre be a good choice? or Jack Elliano's ultrapath pre?
I imagine that the amp could take on some of the sonic signature of the 45 driver. (That would be a good thing.)
To what degree would this occur if both tubes operate within their happiest parameters.
