Yes, the brand is now called Emission Labs, owned by Jac Music in Germany. http://www.jacmusic.com/I don't know the chronology of the branding, but it was confusing. They were called VAIC, but the connection to Alessa Vaic was long broken, and the VAIC name was licensed to Jac I think. Then I guess AVVT, Alessa Vaic's current company, must have stopped the use of the VAIC name. Oh well, such is the Eastern Euro opera of names, at one time, Vaic and Kron were partners also. I suspect all are made in the old Tesla factory, but I really don't know.
No, KR doesn't make a 45. With a few exceptions, most of their tubes are proprietary and not direct replacements for older tubes, the 300B and 2A3 being the exceptions that come to mind. Only Emission Labs/VAIC are making a 45.
