Where you been hoss, we missed you. Funny about the CD direct thing. I just tried it the other day with my bugle 45 amp. My CD player has a varible output so I though it would be fine. Just as you said, it was dry and lifeless. I always thought CD players kicked out enough juice to go direct and that way you avoided more "stuff" in the signal path. Would a different driver tube make any difference? Just trying to learn something here. Thanks!
