Not that we needed any more encouragement, but a quarter century ago, Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" made us hit the beaches even harder. Growing up in the 80s, when we rubbed sunblock on each other, we greatly preferred opposite sex.

Growing up in the 80s, we knew Ricky Martin as a member of Menudo. After seeing him as a solo artist, my friends suspected (but did not give a hoot) that he was gay. And in a way, that made it okay, for a girl to rub sunblock on another girl.

Interestingly, "Livin' La Vida Loca" was written by Desmond Child, who was better known for lite metal.
