30 years ago, I visited friends in San Diego. Despite this being summer, it was cloudy and cool. Thus, my friends, to be safe, wore wetsuits, when going into the water.
It was on this trip, that I first heard Bruce Dickinson's "Tears Of The Dragon." Because my friends lived on the ground floor, a squirrel, not a dragon, entered their apartment.
Bruce Dickinson was not in Iron Maiden at this time, so he continued as a solo artist. Because traditional heavy metal was not popular during this post-grunge era, "Tears Of The Dragon" went largely unnoticed.
Just for fun, we tried to catch the squirrel. This was as close as we came. Because so much time has elapsed since "Tears Of The Dragon" was originally released, you can now watch the video, which, in 1994, got no airplay.
