The month of May has always represented the end of a school year. In May 1994, I visited my friend Jayne, who was then at the end of her junior year at UC Davis. When I met up with her, Toni Braxton's "Seven Whole Days" had convinced her that breaking up with her boyfriend was the right thing to do. Musically, "Seven Whole Days" sounded kind of sensual, which put Jayne in a more positive mood, as far as finding someone new.
Because it was sandwiched between Braxton's major hits, "Seven Whole Days" has always gotten skipped over or overlooked.
