In early 1989, New Order's "Round And Round" was popular in clubs and at dances. Interestingly, they did make a music video for it. And of course, it was nonsensical, and did not show any of the band members. It featured black-and-white shots of girls, from the collarbone up. In real life, the models were wearing strapless bras. So inspired by the video, my friend/classmate put on a swim top (alas, she did not have any strapless models, or tube tips), hopped in the shower, and tried to be as black-and-white (well, gray) as possible.
With several New Order songs in constant rotation, "Round And Round" actually does not get that much airplay. So when you do hear it, you have to pinch yourself, that it is now a whopping 35 years-old.
