Ah, 35 years ago, when the Spring 1989 semester had started, the popular girls often had a separate bag for hair accessoriess. But the nerd girls lugged around books, didn't have the space or strength for "superfluous" hair accessories.
Instead, my friend Laura kept a few hair products in her locker. And then she'd keep a hair-clip on the strap of her bookbag.
The popular girls didn't particularly care for Phil Collins' "Two Hearts," but the nerd girls, including Laura, did. Plenty of PC songs are still on Bay Area radio stations. But "Two Hearts," which appeared in some movie called Buster , only receives scant airplay.
My wife (no, not Laura) doesn't pay attention, like an audiophile would. But if PC's "Two Hearts" is playing, she'll know if something is wrong, and will call it out.
