When listeners give feedback, take notes

Yes, do save the emails you get from listeners. But I also have kept a little notebook, specifically for music-related topics (other notebooks are for audio products).

Listeners often start with a genre. And then they bring up artists. They want to know: "Where were you, when you first heard the music?" "What were you doing?" "Whom (if anyone) were you with?" "Did the music move you?"

And then, should you write about an audio product, listeners know your musical background and tastes, they know where you are coming from, what your biases are, and the context of your reviews.

The more you do this, the longer you do this, more and more audiophiles will reach out to you. That's not only enriching, it gives you more material to work with.
