In 2013, when I was working at a public high school, talking about and sharing music brought staff (and students) together. Faculty kept asking me to join them, at sporting events and on field trips (some were overnight). Regardless of your age, listening to music, while traveling (instead of going individually, we usually carpooled, or took the vans) to these events was awesome.
Johnny Hates Jazz originally debuted in 1988, when I myself was in high school. Their second album came out in 1991, before our students were born. JHJ then, in summer 2013, came out with a new album, their first in 22 years.
I no longer work in education, but former coworkers keep in touch with me. Last year, while teaching remotely, one of the teachers saw that JHJ had come out with a new album, Wide Awake . She asked if I knew about it (no). Her favorite on the album is "Free," which I like, too. But maybe you'll like "No Mistakes" slightly better :-)
