35 years ago, "Oh L'amour" was what really put synthpop duo Erasure on the map. And it wasn't radio, MTV, or the internet, which brought them to us. Rather, it was dances.

Later, my high school would name our Valentine's dance "Oh L'amour."

Here we are, in 2021, and a large swath of audiophiles never stopped listening to Erasure. For many, that all started with "Oh L'amour."
