For decades now, audiophiles have complained that enjoyable dance music was only found at, well, dances. That music never made it into the commercial sphere. Such was the case with Book Of Love's killer "I Touch Roses," which I initially heard, 35 years ago, at one of my high school's dances.
I did not get the CD, above, until my senior year, 1988-89. Reunions or not, we love hearing "I Touch Roses." Although this song is arguably more well-known now, than in 1986, you only hear it (a) if someone has it, or (b) via internet radio.
