During the glorious Fall 1992 quarter, my college neighbor, who was from Phoenix, introduced me to the band, Gin Blossoms. The Gin Blossoms were from Tempe, AZ. Sure enough, in Spring 1993, the Gin Blossoms' "Found Out About You" put them on the map.

In 1996, I went with my girlfriend and bowling partner, ACS, to the Stonestown Tower Records in San Francisco. There, we bought the CD single of the Gin Blossoms' "Follow You Down." I still have it.

We'd bring it with us, on our drives to bowling leagues and tournaments. "Follow You Down" made the ride enjoyable, and psyched us up for the bowling. ACS and I always made sure to check out the hotels' swimming pool and jacuzzi. With the weather warming up, we dreamed about venturing further, perhaps to Arizona. We'd go as far as Las Vegas, but we never did go to Arizona.

ACS recently heard "Follow You Down" on a Bay Area radio station. Now that we are all middle-aged adults, with kids, we don't feel like we have the freedom and time, to go on road trips. And that's before COVID puts a damper on travel.
