When we were in high school in the 80s, it was common for classmates to bring stuffed animals to school, leave them in lockers. At the same time, we tried to be all ghetto, and get big dogs.
Many of my schoolmates went to UC Davis, known for veterinary medicine and agriculture. OTOH, those who went to Cal tended to go into micro biology.
Many of my former classmates now have kids who are in college. Nowadays, with the Bay Area being densely populated, small dogs are more common/popular. My friend's daughter now goes to Cal, and bought this outfit for their small dog (who resides with my friend, not with the daughter), Kekoa. Overcrowding in small homes is also why minimonitors and headphones sell well here.
As for all of the emails I get from audiophiles, many tell me that they listen to Sade.
