We originally bought this Cooker in 2003. We thought we'd use it once or twice, and then be done.
Audiophiles constantly ask about the Cooker, and I always encourage them to find someone local.
Yeah, the Cooker gets all of the atttention, for treating $$$$ cables. But what is left unsaid is that, when I do not have "audiophile cables," this Cooker treats generic, OEM "throwaway" cords, for non-audiophile friends and relatives.
Here, an audiophile still has Mark Levinson gear from the early-2000s. Some of these components inconveniently have the IEC jack under their belly , which necessitates skinny (unless you prop up the ML component) powercords with right-angle plugs. So I'm Cooking two such cords.
The thing is, once you're done Cooking one batch of cables, it feels as though the next round shows up. And thus, if you have a Cable Cooker, and word gets out, that machine seems like it's always in use.
