origins of rap and hip hop with blues and jazz

Saw Gil with Brian Jackson many times in Boston clubs- probably the Rat or the Tea Party, also maybe the 1369, but there were other clubs I can't remember.

Sounds as fresh and relevant today as 40 years ago. RIP Gil.

"The Bottle", "Winter In America", "The Revolution will not be televised", "Angel Dust", "Johannasburg", etc. etc.

The song "Winter in America" is very difficult to find now in the studio version. And the live version has some problems unfortunately.

Another artist Lumie somehow missed ;)
