The Divinyls' "Pleasure And Pain" was a modest "hit," back in the Spring 1986 semester. I assume they were popular in their native Australia. But here in the Bay Area, you had to be one of those "modern rock" (as it was called back then) fans, in order to have known about them. I *think* San Francisco's KITS may have played "Pleasure And Pain" a few times.

Sadly, in 2013, the Divinyls' lead singer, Christine Amphlett, died from breast cancer.
