Enya, "Only Time"

20 years ago, I was with my girlfriend TLS and her friends. Holiday shopping was wearing us down. In stores and in TLS' black 2-door Honda Civic sedan, we heard Enya's "Only Time." One of TLS' girlfriends, who had a small dog, then said, "Let's hit the spa!"

Problem was, we had several cars, and our group had both girls and guys. San Francisco's Kabuki Springs was large enough for groups. However, it had just one night a week for all genders. And on this all-genders day/night, bathing suits were required. Gross!

Another problem was that TLS' girlfriends didn't just want the hot tub and sauna. They also wanted body treatments and massage. TLS and I could not afford those.

Another problem was that, this being the holidays, all spas seemingly were booked. TLS then thought, for those she hadn't yet bought presents, maybe a Spa Finder gift card was ideal.

A couple days later, TLS and I went down to Watercourse Way in Palo Alto. And yes, on the drive down, Enya's "Only Time" came on the radio. Watercourse Way had small, private rooms. If you have a small group, you can book rooms 8 and 9 (love its waterfall steam shower, above) together.

Not sure how many audiophiles like to hit the spas, but several have listened to Enya's "Only Time," and remarked that it was a good recording.
