In time for holidays 1985, Iron Maiden came out with Live After Death . This was and is one of the few live heavy metal albums, which sounds okay. That gives the band's older material, a different angle or take.
13 songs from Iron Maiden's 4-date run at Long Beach Arena were kept. In order to make this a double-album, 5 songs were taken from performances at Hammersmith Odeon. On CD, these latter 5 songs are the second disc.
Interestingly, the tour came here to the Cow Palace in Daly City, on March 21, 1985. I did not go to that concert. I wonder how many of my classmates did.
