As 1985 was winding down, and the days got shorter, it did suck, to wake up in darkness, commute across the City, in order to get to high school. Campus was sprawling, and you entered from whichever direction you came. Regardless of weather (end of '85 was rainy), when you stopped off at your locker, New Edition's "With You All The Way" calmed everyone down. Student body numbered over 2,500, so it was nice, not to be at each other's throat.

"With You All The Way" would be the rare slow song at dances. Yeah, it was awkward, because everyone was afraid and self-conscious. And you weren't sure if you should hold or touch each other. But "With You All The Way" was such a sweet song, you survived.

Over on Cable Asylum, I'm reviewing, among others, the XLO Reference Type 5 speaker cable. It maintains tightness, which, when you compare it to others, goes a long way, towards making "With You All The Way" gripping and impactful. My wife takes a deep breath, and sighs, at how lovely it was and still is.
