A reader emailed, "I was with my audio buds, and one said that that Lummy guy provided cover, to like whatever you like. You don't have to conform to what [Stereotypical Audiophiles] have always foisted on us." He then went on to say that, several of his audio buds liked the rock band Asia, but had overlooked or forgotten about 1985's Astra . He then asked what was my personal fave on that album.

In a common theme, you'll find me talking at length about hitting Central CA coast. As 1985 came to an end, my friends and I were listening to Asia's "Hard On Me," which sadly was never released as a single. Maybe it was Geoff Downes' keyboard work, but that song inspired us to venture out to San Francisco's Ocean Beach. It was no colder than summer, but the difference was, due to winter storms, the surf was brewing.

Due to SIP, I am regularly scheduled to go into the office once a week. During my short drive, Asia's "Hard On Me" does NOT bring us back to 1985, but it does make us feel like we're still teenagers.
