I saw Spencer Davis with [I think it was Robert Longfield] on bass clarinet doing an acoustic set, just the two of them, opening for King Crimson [of all acts] in Chicago back in '73Jerry Mickelson / Jam Productions used to come up with the strangest pairings for concerts in days of yore
Spencer met Winwood when Stevie was 13, and at 17 was belting out tunes with Davis on stage for his bands biggest hits
