10 years ago, I was working at Stanford. Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" would come on the radio. And then you'd step out of the office, mingle with students, and observe that some of them were also listening to (and enjoying) "Teenage Dream."
The "Teenage Dream" music video was filmed in Perry's hometown of Santa Barbara. We didn't need the encouragement, but we took a side trip to Santa Cruz (where I myself went to college). See what Stanford kids can do with buckets?
When I got home, my own kids, who were then in preschool, were also bouncing to "Teenage Dream."
Yes, "Teenage Dream" was yet another song with Max Martin's touch. Still, it's interesting, how it found an audience among us adult workers, college students, and preschool kids.
