An audiophile wrote in to complain, "Hey man, since we're on 1985, you forgot about Godley & Creme's 'Cry'!"
In the mid-to-late 70s, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme left the band, 10cc. Godley & Creme would go on to produce iconic music videos, such as Duran Duran's "Girls On Film," Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Two Tribes," Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush's "Don't Give Up," Herbie Hancock's "Rockit," The Police's "Every Breath You Take" and "Wrapped Around Your Finger," and Wang Chung's "Everybody Have Fun Tonight."
But in late Spring 1985, Godley & Creme had a hit of their own, with "Cry." They did their own video, which shows one face morphing into another. You tend to forget that, in those days, that was pretty rad.
