20 years ago, we were in our late-20s. Old friends had scattered. Work dictated our schedules, left us with no free time. We always dreamed of reuniting, primarily to play organized sports. But that would never happen. It was getting harder and harder to do team sports, even with our new coworkers, friends, and communities.
And that was when we started to hear the post-grunge song, "Hanging By A Moment," by Lifehouse. We gave up on reuniting for sports, but got deeper into personal relationships. "Hanging By A Moment" was a part of that. Then the marriages started to happen.
"Hanging By A Moment" was one of those rare songs to make a slow climb. It would peak at #2, behind "Lady Marmalade." But for the entire year of 2001, "Hanging By A Moment" was the top single.
