I think it's more a late 50's sound and more of a tribute to some great bluesman of the time. Here's a plan - put the record on early at your party at very low volume, no one will even know who it is but it has a great rhythm to it. Nice table setter. Later, after some Jimmy Reed or Muddy Waters or The Record Company, or Nathaniel Radclif, crank it up. Folks just need a little familiarity to get the groove. Worked in my house last week.
