During the CMT Crossroads episode with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (supporting the Raising Sand tour) T Bone says something to the effect of
...here I am playing in a band with the best musicians I know of after years of playing with musicians ... and I have Alison Krauss and Robert Plant as my vocalists. Who could ask for any more than that....
The Crossroads episode in question is very good if you have not seen it. It rarely if ever is repeated on CMT reruns - probably some kind of contractual thing. Some songs are on You tube but quality sucks. Very fun watching AK do Zeppelin and RP do "The boy who wouldn't hoe corn"
And then there's the Roy Orbison "Black and White Night" session, produced by T Bone. How did he get all those stars to perform together?
He's a special person in the music business imho.
