In a post below I noted a great performance (imho) by Alabama Shakes doing their new song from the Silver Lining Playbook movie on SNL. Having seen the SNL performance, as well as a new Austin City Limits which they play the song on, I purchased the soundtrack. Here's the problem - both the SNL You Tube (via Airplay) and DVR'd ACL sound way better than the cut off the soundtrack cd. How can that be? Also, the track is followed by a Dave Brubeck cut that sounds quite nice - so it isn't the entire cd. Shame on the producers for putting out such garbage, and how do the performers even stand for it? End of rant.
